DGFinco was created to build a team of management accountants, assistant accountants and purchase / sales ledger clerks who provide a seamless service. Role overview:
As a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a pivotal role, dedicated to ensuring our clients receive the best possible client experience. You will:
- Input expenses, invoices, credit notes and other journals such as sales and payroll.
- Process supplier statement reconciliations.
- Prepare and process payment runs, liaising with the client through to loading on to the bank.
- Deal with multiple client and supplier queries via email and telephone.
- Code invoices to the General Ledger & cost centres.
- Review aged creditors.
- Conduct initial reviews of the work undertaken by junior colleagues.
- Liaise with auditors for year end.
- Acknowledge all client correspondence in a professional manner.
- Take an active role in team meetings and discussions.
- Assist with administrative duties as required by the firm.
- Assist and support junior members of the purchase ledger team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and purchase ledger processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- A high level of professionalism to deliver client service excellence.
Qualifications:
Preferred AAT Level 4 qualified but not essential.
